On the agenda:

1. IF GOD FORBID a nightmare happens on the 4th, we will discuss what steps we can take in the immediate aftermath. A group called "no more stolen elections" has a web site (their name, no spaces or quotes, dot com) which will have a plan for us to participate in. Details are being worked out, but there are some good minds involved, such as John Nichols (an attorney who writes for The Nation, and who wrote "The Genius of Impeachment"). I am confident we will be able to help with that plan BIG TIME if the need is there.

2. Hoping that need won't be there, we will discuss how to help Vincent Bugliosi and Charlotte Dennett of Vermont (IF she wins the attorney general spot there!) prosecute Dubya. I am certain there will be ways we can help!

3. But also: our main focus will still be on impeachment of Bush/Cheney. Congress is due to go back to DC for a week on Nov. 17. This will be our moment to catch members with no election looming, and hopefully nothing of dire consequence to deal with. There may be financial issues, or ... who knows. But, that week (and possibly a week in Dec.) will be our last and best hope for them to act before these goons are out of office, scott free. It will mean we must be psychologists and figure out how best to impress upon our reps that impeachment is as necessary as ever. So put on your best human behavior hats, put yourselves in their place, imagine what would make you impeach!

Don't forget to CALL your congress member regularly after the election, and ask your friends to do the same.
